I have seen Tracy for Shiatsu over a few years and found her treatments to be effective.

Recently, I had a sharp shooting pain in my neck which went down my shoulder, I was worried that I might have a trapped nerve.
I had a treatment from Tracy and instantly felt a difference, I could move my head freely without pain and haven’t had any problems since and that was about a month ago.

Tracy did suggested that I see my Dr to get it checked out.

I developed sciatica about 15 years ago and have had recurring problems with it ever since.

When sciatica returned again about 2 months ago, I had an appointment booked with Tracy, who explained that there is a treatment in shiatsu for sciatica but that It could be quite painful but effective, I told tracy to go ahead as I as in a great deal of pain anyway and I did not want to resort to taking very strong painkillers as they make me ill.

I found Tracy to be highly professional, she was very considerate of the pain I was in at all times and varied the pressure accordingly.

As soon as the treatment had ended I stood up slowly and could immediately feel a great difference, the pains in my legs were gone and I could stand upright not bent forward.

I had a few twinges of pain for a couple of days afterwards and then non at all. I would definitely recommend Tracy to my friends and family. I look forward to my next appointment for Shiatsu with Tracy.

I have known Tracy for the last three years of her shiatsu career where I have seen her continuously throughout for Shiatsu treatments.

I feel Tracey is very competent and very knowledgeable. She approaches her clients in a very gentle and supportive way whilst at the same time taking into account their individual needs. Her treatments are always different each time which shows the nature of how Shiatsu works with what presents in the moment and not just following a set routine.

Her touch is very sensitive and I feel she also works with her intuition. Sometimes she just knows where to hold, apply pressure to and which point feels like it needs to be pressed. Tracey uses a variety of different techniques from stretches, palm pressure, accupoint work, holding and joint rotations to name some always applying the correct amount pressure needed by feeling the patients ā€˜Qi’.

She will always take a thorough case history and ask any questions about my state of health before each session and she will give appropriate recommendations after each treatment, such as dietary advice, exercises and stretches and general life style changes that I can go away with.

I enjoy having shiatsu from Tracey and look forward to my sessions. In the past I have been helped by shiatsu for a number of reason from feeling tired, joint or muscular tension, shoulder pain, for general well being and mainly for my asthma.

  5. Way back when I was 18, I developed sciatica in my left leg due to sleeping in a saggy old boarding school bed. I then suffered with it, on and off, for over a decade before it was finally all but cured. During that decade I would have days or even weeks when I couldn’t get comfortable in any position, and when painkillers and an ice-pack were the only things that seemed to help. I had had treatments from a chiropractor, but any freedom from symptoms only lasted for a few days, or a couple of weeks if I was lucky.

A few years ago, Tracy discovered Shiatsu, and went on an introductory weekend course with the British School of Shiatsu in Nottingham. On the first day, they learned a simple back treatment, and full of excitement with her new knowledge – like a kid with a new toy – Tracy wanted to practise on me. I said yes – I had been suffering with sciatica for 10 weeks at that point and thought she couldn’t make it any worse, so was happy to act as a guinea pig. I won’t lie, the treatment was excruciating. My calf muscle was solid, every point she put pressure on burned, but every time she revisited a point, it hurt less and less and I could feel all the muscles releasing. By the end of the treatment, the sciatica had completely gone and my leg felt completely normal again.

Since then, although I’ve had recurrences of the sciatica, it has never lasted more than a few hours and has been much, much less painful. That’s from one, hour long, treatment, after only doing one day of the introductory course… !! To me, that shows not only how powerful a tool Shiatsu is, but also how intuitively Tracy has taken to it.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Shiatsu, there are so many things that it can help with. Over the years since that introductory course, I have frequently had practise treatments and listened to Tracy talk about what has been covered on the various modules, and have been blown away by the wide variety of issues that Shiatsu can help with, and help prevent, by the depth of knowledge that BSS students are required to possess before they can graduate, and by the amount of work they have to put in before they are awarded the title of MRSS.

I was a bit sceptical at first. Tracy was treating my partner and offerd a treatment for back pain I had suffered on and off for years. I gave it a go, just to shut them up really……and it worked!!! I havent had any pain since and that was one treatment. I would really recommend Tracy to anyone!

I have been treated several times by Tracy both during and after her training, for several different ailments.
Last year I suffered from severe headaches that my GP brushed off as ‘hormonal’. After one treatment with Tracy my monthly headaches ceased and I was able to carry on with normality again! They have only just recently started again…..so time for another treatment!
I would recommend Tracy to anyone, ven if its to simply relax.
Tracy also helped me with, what the GP diagnosed as PMT, where I was suffering pains down my leg at certain times of the month. Tracys treatment actually uncovered my hip out of joint. Just enough to put pressure on a nerve when the body swells at those times. This probably happened during labour a few years ago. So thanks Tracy for sorting that one out as well, I no longer have the leg pain each month.
    Shes a star!!!!!
