This is great information and we touched on this in shiatsu school. Another, perhaps simplistic thing, was to encourage couple to eat (good quality) meals together, at least once a day. Diet has the most immediate impact on energy and blood quality, and a couple sharing meals will become more energetically in sync.

I’m a recent graduate of a 2200 hour shiatsu program in Canada, I’m planning to emigrate to France in the new year (U.K citizen). I’ll be living in a small town and hoped to eventually practice to earn part of my keep. I’m hearing very mixed reviews about how easy / difficult it is to legally practice.

The Department of Health’s Consultation, originally set to close on the 2nd November this year, now has an extended deadline of 16th November due to the due to the postal strikes. Please do one of, or all of the following before the deadline:

· Email your MP at http://www.writetothem.com/

· Copy the letter to your M.E.P. or M.S.P. at http://www.writetothem.com/

· Fill in the Department of Health’s Consultation Paper at http://www.dh.gov.uk/en/Consultations/Liveconsultations/DH_103567

This is an incredibly lengthy and complex document. A copy of the responses from the National Institute of Medical Herbalists is attached should you wish to be guided by them.

You do not have to answer every question. It would still be incredibly helpful if you just fill in your name and address and just write in the last question that you want herbalists to be regulated and to retain access to a full range of herbal medicines.

· Write to the Department of Health’s Consultation Team to request that they register your opinion. Their address is:

My son was born with a similar liver disease, biliary atresia, and he did ot know anything different. He eventually had a transplant (www.harvey.fatfeet.org) at 2 years and I have never seen him so happy. He now sees that life is not all about pain.

Thanks for posting this video. It manages to encapsulate the true essence of Shiatsu in a very gentle and heartfelt way, which totally resonated with me. I love Shiatsu and the impact it has had and continues to have on both me, and my clients.
